Another great day of trialling, in the beautiful weather. A chilly start just made it a bit harder for some of the earlier runners, as the sheep were very fresh. As the temperature rose, the sheep steadied.

The early standard was set by JJ Brennan with Dunedin Gem completing a run which scored 381 points to put him into the final day. Topping the day’s score again was Serge Van der Sweep and Roy, who after a tremendous run, scored in with 404 points. 5 continental handlers, and Alisdair MaCrae from the US qualified for the final day tomorrow, out of a total of 16 handlers.

Around 6500 people turned up at the event and enjoyed some great running in the glorious weather.
